The Zampoña is a series of bamboo reeds, tuned to a specific note & tied together. Zampoñas come in an array of sizes ranging from approximately 5 inches to 5 feet in length. The town of Walata is widely agreed as the original place where most wind instruments were born & they still continue to make these instruments today.
