Cachos are important to indigenous music, and these hand-crafted Andean Cachos are made in Lima, Peru & are a traditional percussion instrument from the Andes that have a rich pre-Colombian tradition. While we stock many variations of cacho instruments, all are made either from Seed Pods or Bells. Cachos are bound together with string and adorned with a hand woven cinta or strap either by being attached to or around something. Cachos are used by Andean Groups to keep rhythm when they are shaken to the beat.
